I didn't attend most of this class because I didn't make the lottery for section 1, but Nathan (the professor) told me there was space in section 2.

I watched most of the recording of section 3 (he records one random section of each lecture) the following Monday. The class went over harmony and counterpoint:

  • Harmony: relationship between chords, vertical dimension in staff notation, most salient in homophonic textures
  • Counterpoint: relation between voice parts (real or abstract), horizontal dimension in staff notation, most salient in polyphonic textures
