📐 18.01: Single-Variable Calculus

"eighteen oh one"

I received prior credit for 18.01 from scoring a 5 on AP Calculus BC and at least 60% on the math diagnostic. (I think this was the first time that students didn't automatically get 18.01 credit from a 5 on BC, but needed to do well enough on an additional exam too.) The summer after freshman year, I reviewed AP Calculus BC on Khan Academy in preparation for reviewing/self-studying 18.02, so here are my notes on single-variable calculus!

Limits and continuity

Differentiation: definition and basic derivative rules

Differentiation: composite, implicit, and inverse functions

Contextual applications of differentiation

Applying derivatives to analyze functions

Integration and accumulation of change

Differential equations

Applications of integration

Parametric equations, polar coordinates, and vector-valued functions

Infinite sequences and series
